Saint-Maixent-with-Beugné is a common French, located in the department of the Two-Sevres and the area Poitou-Charentes.

History

Celtic etymology: " bigne" meaning bump.

The village is created in 1059 by the monks of the abbey of Saint-Maixent, on the authorization of the count de Poitou.

The church is ransacked during the wars of religion.
