One of large the sagas of family, made up in Iceland in first half of the 13th century, probably by Snorri Sturluson, probable descendant of the main character.

She tells the origins of the Icelandic family of Myrar and especially the life of her most famous member, the scalde and Viking Egill who lived at the 10th century.
