The idea developped at the point by Aykroyd and its friend John Belushi is the portrait of futuristic exterminators which through space and time pursue phantoms. The death of Belushi in 1982 deteriorates the plans, and Bill Murray is taken to replace Belushi. Harold Ramis attends the finalization of script and changes the future for the town of New York, less expensive to produce. The concept was born. Young scientists start a company where they drive out phantoms like invoiced service. The title was to be Ghost Smashers , but it was thrown little before the exit of film for Ghostbusters .
