Rubí

Synopsis

Rubí is a pretty girl who lives with her mother, Raphaëlle and her sister, Christina. His/her mother is a reserved woman, hard-working and traditional and its only desire is to see his/her daughters carrying out a simple and quiet life. She loves her two daughters but feels nearer to Christina.

Spoiled in its childhood by his/her father, Rubí with the practice always to obtain what she wishes. Since the death of this one, Rubí does not manage to accept the disastrous financial position in which its family is. However, his/her mother and her sister make of their possible to return the easy life to him. Christina, by working day and night, provides for the needs for the family. Thanks to this money re-entry, Rubí obtained a purse in order to continue its studies in a university private. It has from now on only one ambition: to become a rich and envied woman.

To the university, it bound of friendship with Maribel of Fuente, a pretty and especially very rich young girl. She lost the use of her left leg after an car accident in which his/her mother died. She lives with her father, Arthur and its controlling Paula, who takes care on her because this one is wary of Rubí. Maribel thinks of having found in Rubí, more than one friend, a sister. She does not see that Rubí is a venal woman and computer.

Because of its handicap, Maribel is a timid young girl who lack of confidence in it. It met certain Hector on Internet. Beautiful, shining, fortunate and impassioned, Hector are a talented architect. With the wire of the months, they became more than friends…

Hector, decided to meet Maribel, arrives at Mexico City with his/her best friend Alexandre Cardenas, a young orthopedist. It is a man sure of him, voluntary and intelligent. It is the immediate love at first sight between Rubí and Alexandre. Unfortunately, Rubí learns with its costs which Alexandre is not so fortunate that it seemed the being!

Rubí must then choose between marrying the man whom she loved and continuing his dream to become a rich woman… Will it choose the love or the money?

The intrigue of this télénovela is based on the novel éponyme of Yolanda Vargas Dulche and the telenovela carried out in 1968 by Fanny Cano.
