History

The club is founded in 1930 with the Park of the Villette with Marcinelle (just beside Charleroi). As of its creation, it was essential like one of best the Belgian club of table tennis. The club was 6 times champion of Belgium into 1 main road of 1930 to 1949. After this first period ostentation, the Villette knew a certain decline. It went down in lower division. In 1979, the club takes again its place among the elite of the Belgian table tennis. In 1980, the club takes part in its first cut of Europe. It takes part in it in an uninterrupted way so far. In 1983, it gains its 1st championship of Belgium since 1949. As of this time the Villette will collect the national titles and will dominate the Belgian competition.
