Royal army (Morocco)

The Royal army with Morocco is the Army of the royal Armed forces of the Morocco. It was created the day before the Indépendance of the Morocco in 1956 by the king Mohammed V, grandfather of the king Mohammed VI, current King of Morocco.

The first this army corps were composed of agents of the makhzen (currently auxiliary forces) having taken part in the Second world war.

It counts approximately 175  today; 000 men, on a total of 250.000 for the whole of the Moroccan armed forces (more 250.000 reservists).
