Royal academy of arts of Canada
The royal Académie of arts of Canada was founded in 1880, it gathers members coming from all the areas of the Canada and pertaining to some twenty artistic disciplines.
Its mission is to encourage and support arts of the Peinture, of the Sculpture, the Architecture, the Design, the Métiers of art, the Photographie and the Cinéma.
Medal of the Academy
Inaugurated in 1962, the Medal of the Academy was designed by Cleeve Horne RCA and Sidney Watson RCA. It is decreed with the individuals who are not members of the Académie , but who contributed in a way marked to the evolution of visual arts of the Canada.
