RollerCoaster Tycoon (series)

RollerCoaster Tycoon is a series of video game of management of which the goal is to build and manage its clean amusement park.

There exists also version gold (known under the name of Triple Action Packs , Deluxe Editions …) available for Rollercoaster Tycoon , Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 , and Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 which included the whole of the extensions in only one play.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 is the only play of the series to have been carried out entirely in 3D. The intelligence of the visitors at summer improved and the output of textures of the play were largely improved (in particular with regard to the liquids). An embarked mode was also added, which makes it possible to the player to go up on board attractions.

Description

The play is composed of 2 modes:
  • the mission mode: the player has a certain amount of money and must achieve an objective which can be to obtain an index of satisfaction raised, a number of necessary visitors or, in the last version, satisfy a celebrity of passage.

  • mode “sand vat”: the player has an unlimited monetary sum. He can thus carry out his own park on the basis of nothing unconstrained.

The play allows a rather advanced personalization of the park. Indeed, the player with the possibility of conceiving his clean Russian Mountains, either starting from preset models in versions 1 and 2, or starting from pieces of circuits (the player who can choose the slope, the type of circuit, etc). It is also possible to decorate the park of decorative pieces such as fountains, floors of flowers, standard lamps or of services such as toilets, infirmaries or points of reception.

The play includes/understands several types of attractions:

  • attractions of transport

  • the Russian Mountains
  • horse-gears with feelings
  • calm attractions
  • watery attractions
  • stands of food and drinks/shops
