Robben Island
Robben Island is an island of South Africa, with broad the of the Cape, which was used at the 20th political century of prison for the black opponents with the mode as Apartheid. It was registered on the Liste of the world heritage of UNESCO in 1999.
Nelson Mandela was held there during nearly 18 years, starting from 1964, before being transferred to the prison Victor Vester, close to Paarl. Many other members of ANC and liberation movements South-African were also held there.
