Ring of Brodgar
On Mainland, principal island of the the Orkneys, between the Log S Harray and Stenness, is the Anneau of Brodgar ( Ring off Brodgar ).
The silhouettes of 27 Mégalithe S are detached on a landscape from moor, on a narrow strip of land between the two logs. This ring 103 meters in diameter comprised 60 stones in the beginning. Girdled of a deep ditch dug in the rock and of a slope now disappeared, it comprises two entries, one in the North-West and the other in south-east vis-a-vis Stenness. It was conceived by the men of the Bronze Age (2700-2500 av. J-C). Following its statements A. Thom could establish that the ring consisted these stones is almost perfect.
