He is one of the realizers the most known underground of France, specialized in the cinema of the fantastic and the horrific comedy.

Richard J. Thomson names actually Julien Richard. He was born the April 5th 1972 with Niort (Two-Sevres).

After its studies of Cinema, it launches out as of beginning of the year 90 in the realization of films with small budgets produced by the review Mad Movies .

It is one of first French to have turned of the feature films directly in video - by preoccupations with an economy.

The diffusion of its film Time Demon on the chain MCA caused a legal imbroglio because that Ci did not have an official visa of the National center of cinematography and was not regarded as a French work of fiction. Indeed, Richard J. Thomson was always constrained to produce his films in margin of the institutional system, the Ministry for the Culture and the production companies traditional having always refused least subsidy to him.

Richard J. Thomson signed eight feature films, several documentary and reports for television as well as forty court-measurings.
