Rhipidura fuliginosa

The rhipidure with collar ( Rhipidura fuliginosa ) is a small insectivorous bird of the family of the Corvidae (classification of Sibley). It is a very common bird in Australia where one finds it everywhere apart from the desert areas but one also finds it in New Zealand (where it is known under the name Māori of " Pīwakawaka" or " Tīwakawaka"), in New Guinea, in the the Solomon Islands and in New Caledonia.

Description

It is approximately 16 centimetres long of which the half for the tail. It has several possible colors energy of the gray mouse to the dark gray while passing by the brown gray on the back. The belly is more clearly sometimes yellow; the throat is white like sometimes spots around the eyes. Tail is white for feathers peripheral but when the bird deploys its tail in range when he parades, one notes that the central feathers are dark.

It builds a nest crosses from there in the fork of a tree. The nest is made of bark, foam, cobwebs. The female lays three to four eggs that the two parents brood. Incubation is of approximately two weeks. The two parents nourish the small ones.
