Name adopted in 1981 by the Revolutionary Communist party Marxist-Leninist (PCR-ML) in order to officialize his abandonment of the Maoism. The Revolutionary Communist party (PCR) indeed directs starting from this date towards a self-management line . Accordingly, it takes part in the sides of militants trotskists with the Federation for the Alternative Left and supports the candidate of PSU, Huguette Bouchardeau, with the presidential elections. After the departure of the majority of the militants in 1982, Rene Rodriguez becomes general secretary of the PCR. He decides to pronounce the dissolution of the party in 1983.
