Reting
The monastery of Reting (Wylie: Rwa-sgreng gom Pa) is a historically important Buddhist monastery with the exchange Tibet.
The monastery of Reting was founded by Dromtonpa in 1057 with Reting or Radreng (VAN-sgreng), in the north of Lhassa. The monastery of Reting is the old seat of the school Kadampa become monastery Gelugpa. It is located at central Tibet, in the valley of Reting Tsampo in the north of Lhassa. It is the seat of Reting Rinpoché. The monastery of Reting was destroyed after the Chinese invasion, and partially restored.
