Rene of the Door

Rene of the Door , wire of the second marriage of Jean of the Door with Marie Cazet, civil judge and perpetual mayor of Laval (1683), dead the September 10th 1705 in Laval. He is member of one of the rich person and notable families of Laval: the Family of the Door.

Biography

Captain of the city and the castle, it deserved this praise of Rene Pichot of Graverie: During twenty-two years which its government lasted, it gave of the bright evidence of a major and solid judgment, of one uprightness the any prevention proof, of a perfect satisfying, a regularity of manners which was never contradicted; he contributed to get the payment of the manufacture of the fabrics of the year 1688, the establishment of the general hospital, of which he was the first director, and the stop of the Parliament against the judges consuls of Angers of the August 17th 1697 .

A young person Moor of Guinea which it had with its service and which it held on the font, was buried with Saint-Tugal of Laval in 1695. He had with his death three services with Saint-Tugal, with the Trinité of Laval, the Église Saint-Vénérand of Laval finally where he was buried.
