Rene Lecavalier

Rene Lecavalier (July 5th 1918 - September 6th 1999) was a stimulating of Sport televised, a Journaliste and a Radio presenter Québécois. In Quebec, its name is synonymous with the Evening with hockey to Radio-Canada, television program which followed especially the activities of the club of hockey the Canadian of Montreal.

Biography

It leaves its retirement in February 1987 temporarily to animate Rendez-vous 87 to Quebec, a series of two matches opposing LNH and the USSR. It was its last service like descriptor of a match of hockey. The quality of its French, as well as the choice of its expressions will mark the animation of the sport on television.

Always on behalf of the television of Radio-Canada, it covers all the Olympic Games of summer of 1960 to 1980, while starting with those of Rome.

During the Olympic Games of summer of 1976 held with Montreal, he will be chief of antenna on television of Radio-Canada.

Honors

It received a doctorate honoris causa of the Université of Montreal and Université Laval.
