Rene Helot

Rene Helot , born the March 9th 1875 with Rouen and dead the September 4th 1940 with Rouen, is a surgeon French.

Grandson of Jules Helot, and wire of Paul Helot, Rene Helot made his studies of medicine in Rouen and Paris. He was doctor otolaryngologist in Rouen. Doctor of the Hospitals to the Old people's home-General of Rouen, He was chief of the service of otorhinolaryngology during 24 years. Two years after its installation in Rouen, it took an important place in the fight against tuberculosis while creating with Doctor Halipre and Paul Petit, the first " colony of santé" , kind of small private observation sanatorium, installed in Mesnil-Esnard. Later it was occupied with Dr. Halipre of the sanatorium of Oissel.

Scholar on subjects as various as publicities, bibliophilism, engravings, the history of medicine, antiquities, and the history, it took part in many learned societies rouennaises:
