The Renault Kangoo is a Automobile manufactured by Renault since 1997.

The utility version of Kangoo is called Kangoo Express . The professionals then use generally the masculine to indicate it. There exists a lengthened version, like, for the market Swedish, a version Pick-up. It is also marketed by Nissan in Latin America and Europe under the name of Kubistar .

In 2006, Kangoo is manufactured with Maubeuge, France, and with Santa Isabel, Argentine.

History

Kangoo was classified at its exit in the category Ludospace. Although born from the utility universe, it was presented like a family car practices, proposing important volume of its cockpit, and like an alternative to the compact monospaces, more expensive. By its practical aspect, its rusticity, and its relatively weak purchase price, it was then openly presented like the 4L of the year 2000 , and thus asserted a direct filiation with the Renault 4.

Before it, other vehicles had tried the marriage of the volume of a utility to the back bench of a truck, accompanied by a forage ladder instead of double-carries trunk. The exit of Kangoo one year after Berlingo was the occasion of a " besides; war of the portes" between Renault and PSA. Indeed, the principal innovation of Kangoo was its single third sliding door, accentuating the practical aspect of the car, as well in civil version as in utility. PSA then incorporated a third door in its two ludospaces, at the moment when Renault equipped Kangoo with one 4th door.
