Ray Clemence

Ray Clemence (of her true name Raymond Neal Clemence ) was a Football English or born the August 5th 1948 with Skegness (England). He played as a goalkeeper for Liverpool Football Club and Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. He gained three Ligues of the Champions, three cuts UEFA and five championships of England.

Career of player

In club

Clemence became titular in the large team of Liverpool in 1970. It made the essence of its career with Liverpool, gaining many trophies, and for Tottenham only in 1981 left when it lost its place of holder to the profit of Bruce Grobbelaar.

With Tottenham Hotspur Football Club it gained a UEFA Cup and a F Cup.

Clemence played 665 matches with Liverpool Football Club (335 boxed goals) and 240 with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.

In national team

Between 1973 and 1984, Clemence had 61 selections in the team of England. It was a long time in competition with Peter Shilton to keep the goals of the team of England, the two players being appreciably same level, they alternated within the team of England.

Clemence took part in the final stage of the world cup of 1982 and the Championnat of Europe of football 1980.

Career of trainer

Clemence involved Barnet FC in 1994, then became associated trainer, charged with the goalkeepers, of the team of England.
