Original series
In the original series, Ratchet is the doctor of the autobots: it is him which is given the responsability to look after the others. For this reason, he is expert in biomechanics.Transformers (film)
Ratchet appears in the Transformers film, always as a specialist physician. It is not transformed this time not in the ambulance, but into yellow truck of help (though the toy is green). It is, right after Optimus precedes, largest of Autobots.
