Raphaël de Barros
Raphaël de Barros , born in 1917 and deceased in August 1993, is a former president of the club of Basket-ball French, ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne.
Biography
Raphaël de Barros was the president emblematic of ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne of 1963 with 1988.During its long mandate of president, the club gained 12 of the 16 titles of Champion of France which made ASVEL the club of tennis shoe more titrated France. The club was also present in the European competitions with in particular a final of Coupe Saporta in 1983 and a semi-final of the Coupe Korać in 1974.
It is in particular at the origin of the arrival of Alain Gilles with the ASVEL which gained 8 championships of France with the club.
The room where the club until 1995 evolved/moved was famous room Raphaël De Barros in its honor.
Raphaël de Barros was named with the Academy of the French tennis shoe.
