Raoul de Zähringen or Rudolf von Zähringen (*environ 1135; † 5. August 1191 with Herdern close to Freiburg) is bishops of Mainz and prince-bishop of Liege.
His/her parents were duke Conrad Ier de Zähringen and of Clemence of Luxembourg-Namur. Raoul was called 1160 by the citizens mayençais with the successor of Arnold von Selenhofen, but the emperor Frederic Barberousse was not recognized however. Considerable tensions of Staufer and Zähringer were a cause between that. After the excommunication of Rudolf (council of Lodi 1161), Christian I. von Buch began the succession of Raoul with Mainz. 1167 Raoul in so much bishop of Liege supports of his brother, duke Bertold IV of Zähringen. After the Palais of the Prince-Bishops of Liege was in addition victim of a serious fire into 1185 which devastated the center of the agglomeration, the palate was rebuilt under Raoul.
The Rudolf May 11th, 1188 in crusade left with its army until besieging Midsummer's Day d' Acre. On the return he died in Herdern and was buried in the monastery St Peter.
