Raoul Rochette
Raoul Rochette (1784-1854) was a Archéologue French.
Born with Saint-Amand (Expensive), he was initially professor with the Louis-the-Large Lycée and gained in 1813 a price with the Institut for a Mémoire over the Greek colonies .
He was named in 1815 university lecturer with the Teacher training school and was admitted since 1816 with the Académie of the inscriptions, before becoming in 1818 conservative of the Cabinet of the medals.
He replaced in 1820 Quatremère de Quincy as professor of Archéologie, and formed part in 1828 of the scientific commission sent in Morée. He was elected in 1838 member of the Académie of the fine arts and became soon after perpetual secretary of this company.

- new Monuments of illustrated antiquity , 1828;
- new ancient Paintings , 1836;
- Course of archeology , published according to its lessons by the shorthand, 1828-1835,
- of many reports and the Notes on several members of the Academy of the fine arts.
