Railway DE DIETRICH

Under DE DIETRICH Ferroviaire was known the railway factory of rolling stock of the Famille DE DIETRICH with Reichshoffen, in Alsace, which forms part maintaining of Alstom under the name of Alstom DDF .

DE DIETRICH Ferroviaire provided inter alia the cars of the train Enterprise connecting Dublin and Belfast in Ireland.

DE DIETRICH Ferroviaire was partner of Linke-Hoffmann-Busch of Salzgitter in Germany for the joint development of a diesel railcar for the National company of the railroads French (the SNCF) and the Deutsche Bahn; the result is known in France like X 73500 and X 73900, also called the Whale, and at the dB like Series 641.

In 1995, DE DIETRICH Ferroviaire was repurchased by Alstom and is known since like Alstom DDF or simply by the place name Reichshoffen .
