Radio operator Contact (Saint-Dié)
Radio Contact is an associative radio French which exists since 1983. It emits on the basin of Meurthe. Its seat and its studios are located at the Saint-Dié-of-Vosges.
History
June 1982: First experimental emission of Radio operator ContactNovember 23rd, 1982: Official request for authorization to emit
January 6th, 1983: Beginning of the official and daily emissions of Radio operator Contact since a studio of the House For All. The studios are located 1 rue Jean-Maurice André, in Saint-Dié
January 21st, 1983: The Galabert commission gives an favorable opinion to Radio Contact, provided that it joins Radio Saint-Dié
At the end of March 1983: Signature of a draft-agreement between the two radios
May 4th, 1983: The two radios share frequency 96.4 FM
June 16th, 1983: Set fire to studios and suspension of the emissions
June 24th, 1983: Resumption of the emissions since a studio of the Worker Youth hostel. The provisional studios are located 1 rue Ernest Colin, in Saint-Dié
June 30th, 1983: Creation of Association Frequency Contact, autonomous association of the House For All September 1st, 1983: New change of studio. The station ensures 29h of weekly emissions. The new studios are located 12 place de la rochotte, in Saint-Dié
September 3rd, 1983: Radio Saint-Dié denounces the draft-agreement
October 6th, 1983: Radio Saint-Dié decides to occupy frequency 96.4 permanently and scrambles Radio Contact
February 1st, 1984: After several months of conflict and jamming with Radio operator Saint-Dié and an arbitration of the commission Galabert, Radio Contact is finally authorized to occupy a frequency for it all alone, the 91.5 FM
February 15th, 1984: Radio operator Contact passes to 50 hours of weekly programs
February 27th, 1984: Publication of the authorization to emit with the official journal
April 1984: The station chooses to remain in its associative statute and to refuse publicity
February 1985: New authorization to emit on the 91.5 delivered by the high ranking authority
October 1985: New change of buildings. The new allotted frequency is the 104.9 FM. Radio operator Contact is at 112 rue d'Alsace, in the Saint-Dié-of-Vosges
March 8th, 1998: Set fire to building which lodges Radio Contact. All the material is drowned by the firemen. The station must cease emitting.
January 1999: New authorization to emit delivered by SCUMS. After almost a year of silence, the emissions begin again on the 104.9 in new buildings. The new address of Radio operator Contact is the current address, 4 bis rue de la parks, in the Saint-Dié-of-Vosges
January 2005: Work for the computerization of the station is finally possible, after several unfruitful attempts
April 18th, 2005: Launching of the new programs on line, at midday. Radio operator Contact is computerized and diffuses from now on its personal programs 24:00 on 24.
June 29th, 2005: Pierre Hake, the senior of the radio presenters Contact, dies at the 84 years age.
September 22nd, 2006: Radio operator Contact launches a call to the listeners in order to find a solution financial with its difficulties which are likely to kill the station.
December 16th, 2006: After 9 months of fight, Radio Contact leaves a financial crisis without precedent and sets out again for one year additional.
