RAM Chandraji

Mahatma RAM Chandraji (1873 - 1931), also called Lala Ji or Lalaji, lived in the north of the India (Uttar Pradesh). He studied the English, the Ourdou and the Farsi and worked with the governmental office with Farukhabad. He was the first Master Soufi not Moslem about the Naqchabandiyya.

Short history

The father of RAM Chandraji, Chaudhary Harbaksh Spoke, was downward of a very respected line of the district of Manipuri and worked in the administration. His/her mother was very pious and devoted much time to the prayer.

RAM Chandraji was born in 1873 in Farukhabad. Raised by his mother, it then followed the teaching of Hujur Maharaj, a Master Moslem Soufi of the brotherhood of the Naqchabandiyya, as of the 18 years age. In 1896, this one chose it to succeed to him. It thus became the 36e Master of this line about Naqshbandis, but also the 1st Hindu Master soufi not converted with the Islam.

His/her young brother born in 1875 is also a spiritual Master known under the names of Mahatma Munshi Raghubar Dayal ji or Chachchaji Sahab.

Mahatma RAM Chandraji is deceased on August 14th, 1931, or rather according to the devoted expression it reached its Samadhi final this day there with Fatehgarh.

Successors

The Sufism and the order of the Naqshbandiyya were spread in the north of the India thanks to Mahatma RAM Chandraji, but especially also thanks to the many disciples who claim themselves of him.

The first of them is his/her son Mahatma Jagmohan Narain (1901-1944), then his/her small son Shri Dinesh KUMAR Saxena, who continued his work within the Naqshbandiyya Mujaddadia Mazahariya Ramchandriya, or Naqsh MuMRa in summary.

Chaturbhuj Sahay Ji, founder of the Ramashram Satsang of Mathura and Sri Ramchandra, also called Babuji, founder of the Shri RAM Chandra Mission and of the Sahaj Marg, is both declared like heir designated by Mahatma RAM Chandraji.

Thakur RAM Singhji or Doctor Chandra Gupta is them also some of his spiritual heirs.

Among them, only Sri Ramchandra Babuji gave up all references to the Soufisme.
