The Río Usumacinta is a Fleuve Mexico southernmost, tributary of the 560 km long Gulf of Mexico. It takes its source on the heights of the Guatemala, is used as border at the Mexican State of Chiapas and crosses the tropical forests of the Tabasco and Campeche before being thrown in the Golfe of Campeche.
