Puy de Montiroir

The puy of Montiroir is a Volcan in sleep of the Chaîne of Puys, in the Massif Central. The Chaîne of Puys became in 2000, a Site Classified . This volcano marks, with the Gour de Tazenat, the limit Septentrional E of the Chaîne of Puys. Its top culminates with 698 meters. The slopes of this Volcan of the Strombolian type are cultivated. The puy of Montiroir is located on the common of Manzat, to 1,5 km in the North-West of the borough of Manzat and to forty kilometers of Clermont, in the Département of the Puy-de-Dôme.
