Puy de Chalard
The puy of Chalard ( still called Chalard ) is a volcano in sleep of the Chaîne of Puys, in the Massif Central. It is on the commune of Manzat to less than forty kilometers in the western north of Clermont-Ferrand. The Chaîne of Puys became in 2000, a Site classified.
Geology
The puy of Chalard is a volcano of the Strombolian type presenting a broken the mouth of crater, i.e. a crater of which one on the sides exploded.
