Purchasing group

A purchasing group is an organization having the aim of gathering the orders of a whole of members. The structure offers at the same time, of better conditions of purchase (thanks to the economies of scale) and the services of Promotion for the whole of the members.

An purchasing group is a structure managing the purchases of its associates retailers or wholesalers. This negotiation implies the study of the products, the search for suppliers, the negotiation of the purchases and, in certain cases, the activities of distribution, organization and documentation. The services are reserved for the exclusive use of the members of the power station, to which they are bound by a contract of a certain duration.

Historical purchasing groups

Paridoc, the first French purchasing group, was created in 1930. It entered the bosom of the group Auchan following the repurchase of Dock of France in 1996 and was renamed Eurauchan .
