Punic Wars
The Punic Wars constitute a series of three conflicts which opposed the ancient Rome and the Carthaginian Civilization. The Carthaginians are called Carthaginienses or Latin Poeni in , deformation of the name of the Phéniciens from which the Carthaginians result, from where the “punic” Adjectif.
The cause of these wars is related to the concurrent expansion of Rome and Carthage, in the Western Mediterranean.
