Cuba is divided of 14 provinces plus the special municipality of Isla of Juventud.

History

Before 1976, Cuba was cut out in 6 provinces.

Current cutting resembles that of the Spanish military provinces narrowly during the war of independence of Cuba during which the most agitated sectors had been separate.
