Province of Pisco

The province of Pisco is one of the 5 provinces which compose the Région of Ica to the Peru. It is limited

  • to north by the Province of Chincha Alta,
  • in the east by the Région of Huancavelica,
  • in the south by the Province of Ica
  • in the west by the Pacific Ocean.

The province of Pisco has a surface of 3  978,19 km ² and are made up of 8 districts:

  • Pisco
  • Huancano
  • Humay
  • Independencia
  • Paracas
  • San Andrés
  • San Lenient
  • Túpac Amaru

Capital

The capital of the province is the town of Pisco.

Population

The population of the province was estimated at 126.682 inhabitants in 2002.
