Province of Nemuro

Nemuro (根室国, - No kuni ) is an old province of the Japan which was in an area which is the sub-prefecture of Nemuro today, on the island of Hokkaidō. The province was founded during the Meiji era.

History

August 15th 1869, the province is created is divided into five districts.
1872, the population is of 832 inhabitants.

Hanasaki (花咲郡) (removed on April 1st 1959
Nemuro (根室郡) (removed the 1957)
Nemuro City
Notsuke (野付郡)
Shibetsu (標津郡)
Menashi (目梨郡)
