Province of Iga
the province of Iga (伊賀国; - No kuni) is an old province of the Japan which occupied an area included/understood in the current western part of the prefecture of Mie. The province of Ida was surrounded by the provinces of Ise, Omi, Yamato, Yamashiro.
The province of Iga was famous for its ninjas, most famous was undoubtedly Hanzō Hattori. The province is regarded besides with the province of Koga as the birthplace of the Ninjutsu (martial art of the formation of the ninjas).
The city which protected the province thanks to its castle was Ueno.
The province was divided into 4 districts.
