Proserpine

Proserpine is a Roman divinity equivalent to Perséphone in the Greek Mythologie. It is the girl of Cérès (or Déméter). Proserpine is the goddess of the seasons.
The Mythologie tells that it would have been removed by Pluton, god of the Hells who then married it. This episode is reported by Claudien, in the Abduction of Proserpine .
She was named by the Romans the " Snake which crawls under the ground "
