Propagule

A propagule is body of dissemination (propagation) and of reproduction (nonsexual) of an animal, vegetable, bacterial or fungic living being (Spore, Kyste…).

In botany

It is about a unit of propagation of a plant (spore, seed, Prothalle of Fougère S, pluricellular of Bryophyte or simple outgrowth Drageon equipped with buds and likely to separate from the plant to take further root…).

The propagules can move by Hydrochorie, Anémochorie, transported by animals (Zoochorie) or by direct fall near the Plante - relative.

The study of the dispersion of the Végétation names the Chorologie.

The ecology of the landscape is also interested in the way in which the propagules circulate and contribute to the construction and the evolution of the Paysage and of the ecosystem S, in particular through the concepts of biological Corridor and ecological Réseau.

Particular case

When it is about Pathogène S, the epidemiology considers the parts of disease-causing agents likely thus to propagate a disease.

It can also be a question of invasive Espèces, which interests the ecologist then
