Program Venerated
The program Venerated (Russian: Венера;) was developed by the the USSR to study Venus. As it was the case with others Soviet space probes of interplanetary exploration, the last versions were launched per pairs at a few weeks of interval.
The most outstanding results of this precursory program were the first entry in the atmosphere of another planet of a Astronef Terrien, the first landing carefully on another planet, the first images retransmises from the surface of another planet and a cartography radar of Venus. Unfortunately, although the Venus orbit is closer to the Ground than that of Mars, the conditions on the Venus surface are much more extreme, which means a survival very limited for the undercarriages of the probes.
The entire program can be considered a great success.
Venerated is the Russian name Venus.
