Preston Reed
Preston Reed is an American musician known like one of the precursors of the style Tapping on acoustic Guitare.
Biographical elements
Born with Armonk, New York, the first performance of Preston Reed was in support with the happy poet Allen Ginsberg with the Smithsonian Institute. It launched its first album under a small label before in enregister three others under Flying Fish Records label. The four others (now stopped) were under label MCA Records . Currently, it has its own label, Outer Bridge .
Reed was strictly acoutic guitarist of the branch of the artists such as Leo Kottke and John Fahey before being devoted in the innovation of the '' tapping '' to two hand of style percussion. It often uses inflected chords.
It recorded musical film screens and a succession of original musics for the Mineapolis Guitar Quartet. He currently lives the Scotland.
