Definition and general information

There does not exist of standard preoperative assessment. One must adapt it to each patient.

PRIVATE CLINIC

Interrogation

  • Antécédents personnel, medical and surgical
  • Traitements in progress, known allergies
  • Heure of the last food ingestion if the surgery is envisaged in the short run

Physical examination

  • ORL, to envisage possible difficulties of intubation trachéale (morphology)
  • Cardiovascular
  • Pulmonary

PARACLINIQUE

Biology

  • Numération formulates blood
  • Bilan of coagulation: TP, TCA
  • Groupage, if the surgery is at the risk of blood losses

Imagery

  • Téléthorax

Others

  • Cardiovascular: ECG, Pulmonary test of effort, échocœur
  • : EFR

Classification ASA

It makes it possible to classify the patients according to the anesthetic risk.
  • ASA 1: Patient in general good state

  • ASA 2: Patient presenting a moderate disturbance of a great function
  • ASA 3: Patient presenting a severe disturbance of a great function
  • ASA 4: Patient running a vital risk
  • ASA 5: Patient dying man
