Power Mac G4 (Quicksilver)

The Power Mac G4 “Quicksilver” replaced in July 2001 the Power Mac G4 “DIGITAL Audio” and was replaced in August 2002 by the Power Mac G4 “MDD”. Of a design slightly different from the precedents Power Mac G4, they integrated processors going from 733 to 867 MHz, a model biprocessor to 800 MHz being available. An update in January 2002 finally made reach in Power Mac the course of the Gigahertz. On these last models the processor PowerPC 7455 replaced the 7450; the principal improvement was the memory hiding place faster level 3 (given rhythm with half the speed of the processor against a quarter for the 7450).
