Port authority of Bordeaux

The port of Bordeaux has the statute of Port authority. It is a public corporation, held at 100% by the French state, which jointly exerts public service missions administrative and public service missions related to commercial industrial and which is managed like a public corporation related to commercial industrial and (EPIC). Its installations are stretched along the the Gironde on 100 km and cover approximately 1  500 hectares.

The port will have treated in 2005 8,691 million tons of goods including 6,179 million at the entry, it is the 7th metropolitan port commercial.
