This one comprised two stages, one (the level top) for the trains (small belt), the other for circulation.Motor vehicle traffic increasing on the Boulevards of the Marshals, and the arches being too low for the river navigation led to its replacement as from 1963 by the Davy architect and engineer Thenault; it was inaugurated on September 1st, 1966.
It draws its name from the victory gained in Italy by the general June, in 1944.
Since end 2006, work the Telephone is installed in the center on its face air-side, is established on the edge external of sound Trottoir and is fastened with its Garde-fou. It is about a Phone box carved in the shape of flower by the Architecte Frank Gehry, not having an other function only to receive calls of Sophie Calle, the artist who imagined it to accompany the startup by the Tramway of the Marshals, to which the terminus is very close.
