the Polytechnic school of the University of Nantes (Polytech' Nantes) is a school of engineers comprising 5 departments distributed out of 2 sites (Nantes and Saint-Nazaire). It is resulting from fusion, in 2000, of IRESTE, ISITEM and ESA IGELEC. The school accommodates each year more than 1200 students. Located within the University of Nantes, she proposes five training areas of engineers:

  1. electronic systems and industrial data processing
  2. Data-processing Electronic engineering
  3. (2 different formations)
  4. Science of the materials
  5. thermics-energetics

Trainings of engineers

The trainings of engineers proposed by the Polytechnic school of the university of Nantes aim to prepare engineers and executives able to conclude a mission in company, by controlling technical, human and managerial dimensions.

Six specialities of training of engineers are exempted:

  1. Data-processing Electronic engineering

  3. Sciences of the materials
  4. Electronic systems and Industrial data processing
  5. Thermics-Energetics
  6. Civil engineering (starting from re-entry 2007/2008)

The trainings of engineers are pressed on powerful poles of research and confirmed pedagogical teams. Possibilities are offered to prolong the formation by Master and a Doctorate.

Masters

The school offers programs of Masters of research in the following sets of themes:

  1. SEGE : Electronic systems and Electronic engineering

  2. ALD: Architecture Software Distributed
  3. ECD: Retrieval of knowledge starting from the data
  4. TE: Energy thermics

and a professional master, partially remotely:

  • H Tech, Data processing and Communication.

Continuing educations

The school also proposes a diploma for the occupation of project manager, software and networks in continuing education. This Diploma of University of the Industrial techniques of Software (DUTIL) is addressed to a public bac+2 having a 3 years track records minimum.

The Institute of the Man and Technology (IHT), component of the Polytechnic school of the university of Nantes, proposes two trainings in associated Management Qualité Safety Environment (MARPEQ and MAQSE university degree). These one year formations based on the principle of alternation are addressed to graduates, engineers frameworks in activity or applicants for work of a level bac+4 (or equivalent track records).
