Planet gear
A planetary indicates a unit mobile Mécanique, appearing the Solar system (the Sun and its Planet S) in whole or part. Generally the stars represented are animated either manually, or by a mechanism of clock industry. These planet gears try to simulate the reality with a didactic aim or of demonstration.
Characters illustrated themselves by building planet gears: handbooks like Christian Huygens (1629 - 1695) or actuated by a clockwork like Antide January (1751 - 1835).
