Placerville (California)
Placerville is the chief town of the Comté of El Dorado, in California. Its population was of 9.610 inhabitants at the time of the census of 2000. After having been known under the name of Dry Diggins during the Gold rush, the small town was incorporated in municipality in 1854 and became the seat of the county of El Dorado in 1857.
