Pinet
Pinet is a common French, located in the department of the Herault and the area Languedoc-Roussillon. Its inhabitants is called Pinetois.
Geography
Located at the hollow of a small valley, this commune is producing of good wine. The village is on a regional level known for its coast which decides between the racing cyclists at the time of the race of the free Midi.The village is surrounded by vines as far as the eye can see. The Picpoul that they produce is the ideal wine to taste the seafood of the pond of Thau.
Admittedly the highway passes to the north of the village, it is however not audible in the majority of the commune. The pond of Thau in the south of the village is a place of fishing for shellfish and offers splendid points of sights.
The village is at 25 minutes of the town of Agde, high place of exits for the Pinétois young people.

Places and monuments
In the church, recently renovated, a splendid animated crib is visible and activable all the year. It is an image of the life of the village.The cooperative wine cave is a true anthill of activity at the season of the grape harvest.
A pretty place of the town hall is very pleasant in full center village to benefit from the fresh air at the edge of the fountain.
The place of the Email is the place where every summer, at the time of the festival of the village, of multiple animations is organized, in particular sets of young cows and traditional plays equestrian. The castle of Pinet is built at the beginning of the 20th century by the architect of Bordeaux Garros, in a style Néorenaissance English, for Ludovic Gaujal.
The totemic animal of Pinet is the caterpillar.
Personalities related to the commune
Pierre Thieule was the mayor of the commune during several mandates. His/her Pierre son is the current mayor since several mandates.
