Pietro Stefanelli

Pietro Stefanelli (July 30th 1835, Florence - December 23rd 1919, Florence) is an Italian entomologist whose principal work concerned the Lépidoptères and on the Libellules. It is one of the founders (1869) of the Italian entomological company (Società Entomologica Italiana), of which it ensures the vice-presidency of 1869 to 1918. Stefanelli is one of the first collaborators of the Istituto Sperimentale per Zooogia Agraria specialized in the devastating lépidoptères . It professor and directs a secondary school.
