Pierre Mulele

Pierre Mulele , born the August 11th 1929, dead in October 1968, is a Congolese politician of the Congo-Kinshasa. It was with the head of a government of rebellion with Antoine Gizenga like Prime Minister in 1961.

It carried out the rebellion May-May in the area of the Kwilu into 1963 before fleeing with the Congo-Brazzaville.

In 1968, Desired Joseph Mobutu the convainquit to return from exile, promising the Amnesty to him. It made it on the contrary torture publicly, making him tear off eyes and genitals, and its members amputees one by one whereas it was always alive. Its body was thrown in the Fleuve Congo.

In 2002, one of the largest avenues of Kinshasa is re-elected in its honor Avenue Pierre Mulele.
