Pierre Charlier , born with Boult-sur-Suippe, the July 4th 1814, deceased in its native commune the March 15th 1893.
Former doctor-veterinary surgeon, knight of the Legion of honor, one of the seniors of the agricultural Meeting of Rheims and formerly one of greatest notorieties of the veterinary art.
It published many work on the veterinary medicine and agriculture, and made many discoveries which illustrated its name, in particular the castration of the milch cows and the plantar fitting, practiced today under the denomination of fitting Charlier .
It was successively named member of the central Company of veterinary medicine de France and of the veterinary Institute of Dorpat (Russia), member corresponding of the Société of agriculture of France and of the Academy of Rheims.
